Welcome to the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, our representative will greet you and drive you to Thimphu, the capital city (approx. 1.5 hours). After checking into your premium hotel, take a leisurely evening walk to explore the local markets and the majestic Tashichho Dzong illuminated at night.
Begin your day with a visit to the iconic Buddha Dordenma, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu valley. Later, explore the National Memorial Chorten, the Folk Heritage Museum, and the local textile weaving centers to experience Bhutanese traditions. Enjoy an authentic Bhutanese dinner at your hotel.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha. En route, stop at the breathtaking Dochu La Pass (3,100m) featuring 108 memorial chortens and spectacular views of the eastern Himalayas. Upon arrival, visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
Drive back to Paro early morning for the highlight of your trip: the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). Perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley, this sacred site offers unparalleled views and spiritual serenity. Spend the evening resting at your luxury resort in Paro.
Enjoy a final Bhutanese breakfast. Depending on your flight time, you may have a brief opportunity to pick up some last-minute souvenirs in Paro town before our private transfer takes you to the airport for your onward journey.
